Ice Dancer
Icy Siberia plays its tune
the swan of the North sings its song
a song it is of ice and snow
of how cruelly Boreas does blow
but there, amidst the glistening
a shadow, a shape is twirling
the master of ice, dancing his dance
like the green ocean is his glance
and he works his magic
a golden shimmering snowflake
the eternal glaciers are his home
there the water-bearer will roam
wanderer `neath the Northern Cross
heavy weights the old promise
Alas, his frozen soul, cold aura
travels away, to the realm of Athena
to work his magic of cold
in service of duty and the world
in Greece blows his icy breath
quenching the fire, bringing relief
his thirs
